Our Children’s House Primary Pre-K Program is designed to meet the needs of children 3.5 to 6 years old in a highly prepared, multi-age setting. The mornings are spent in a typical Montessori style classroom with lessons in each of the five curriculum areas: 1) Practical Life, 2) Sensorial, 3) Language Arts, 4) Mathematics, and 5) Cultural Arts. Our students receive lessons in cooking, sewing, weaving, and a variety of themed Science and/or Cultural Arts Study. Our students do long term research projects (at their ability level) in a wide array of subject areas. Recent studies have taken us on a “Trip Across America,” or through “The World’s Biomes” or “Native American Cultures,” just to name a few. This classroom is designed for our 3.5 to 6 year olds at KMCP while preparing for kindergarten and are placed in this classroom at the discretion of the Director. We also offer Transitional Kindergarten for our 5 to 6 year olds. Click here for Tuition and Fees information.
