The mornings are spent in a typical Montessori style classroom with lessons in each of the five curriculum areas:\u00a0<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Practical Life, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Sensorial, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Language Arts, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mathematics, and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Cultural Arts.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our students receive lessons in cooking, sewing, weaving, and a variety of themed Science and\/or Cultural Arts Study. Our students do long term research projects (at their ability level) in a wide array of subject areas. Recent studies have taken us on a \u201cTrip Across America,\u201d or through \u201cThe World\u2019s Biomes\u201d or \u201cNative American Cultures,\u201d just to name a few. This classroom is designed for our 3 to 6 year olds at KMCP while preparing for kindergarten and are placed in this classroom at the discretion of the Director.
