Meet Our Teachers
Jill W. Englebretson
Hello. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the KMCP family. My name is Jill Welker Englebretson and I am a native of the Kernersville and Oak Ridge communities and graduated from Northwest Guilford High School. However, I met my husband at the United States Air Force Academy, where we both attended college. He graduated and subsequently was commissioned in the Air Force and our family served some 22 ½ years as a military family around the world. We have four grown children and four grandchildren. We came to NC in 2001. I have a degree in Elementary Education (k – 6) from Greensboro College and I have two Montessori Certifications. I earned my Early Childhood (age 3 – 6) credential from the Florida Institute for Montessori Studies in 1997 and my Infant/Toddler Credential from the NC Center for Montessori Teacher Education in 2003. I have been in and out of the Montessori classroom over the last twenty years. I believe it is my God given gift and calling to teach young children. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the Montessori method of Early Childhood Education to the Kernersville community.
This is Andrea’s first year as the Assistant in the 4 and 5’s class. She has spent the past 3 years as a stay at home mom to her two children. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an endorsement in Reading. Before staying at home, she was the Assistant Director of a preschool and spent 4 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. Andrea has always loved the Montessori philosophy as she herself attended a Montessori school as a child. She is looking forward to being a part of the staff at KMCP.
Ginger has been teaching at Kernersville Moravian Preschool for about a year and an half. She is the lead teacher for the 2-3 year old class. She has a BA from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL and homeschooled her three children. She has taught in homeschool co-ops and has years of experience teaching and working in children’s ministry. Ginger was introduced to the Montessori Method in Texas when she started teaching at a large Montessori preschool. She was fascinated by the philosophy and techniques of Maria Montessori. She moved to Kernersville in 2015 and was excited to learn of a local Montessori school. She enjoys teaching and seeing children excel not only academically, but also socially and spiritually.
Brook first came to Montessori as a parent when she enrolled her two sons. Brook has served on the school board, the consignment sale committee, and the spring fling committee. She is now the assistant teacher in the 2/3 year old class.
